Cahoon was called to Salt Lake Wednesday to attend funeral services of two uncles, Charles Spencer and Richard Maxfield. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Scott re-tuened re-tuened from Murray Sunday, accompanied ac-companied by Mr. Scott's mother, moth-er, who came to arrange for the erection of a bungalow on her city property. Miss Stella Jacobson of Pine Valley, Utah, who arrived here Saturday morning will visit for a time with her sister, Mrs. Pearl Bennett, and many friends. Miss Jacobson 's amiable character, charac-ter, and ability as a teacher won for her many friends here a few years back. J. V. Black and W. R. Bennett who are are doing some contract work at Swan Lake, were in town early in the week for supplies. sup-plies. Clarence Nelson, son of the late A. C. Nelson, Snperintend-ant Snperintend-ant of schools, representing the J. A. Folger Co., of San Francisco Fran-cisco was in town Saturday. Many families are preparing for a few days or weeks in the canyon. Among those to leave this week are Mr. and Mrs. Wil Warnick and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Eliss and families. Mrs. Leigh Cropper, surrounded surround-ed by her children and grandchildren grand-children celebrated her seventy-first seventy-first birthday on the 16th. The Primary Association, on Monday last, at the A. C. Nelson, gave a realistic demonstratior of the travels and early day conditions con-ditions incident to the life of the Pioneers in the west. M. WolTolk and brother of Virginia, Vir-ginia, who are doing some systematic syste-matic development work in theii mining property in the Crickel range, are in town for a short time. The gentlemen are enthused en-thused with prospects in that vicinity and predict a real live camp for Crickets at no distant day. The entire Pioneer day celebration celeb-ration is under the direction ol the Sunday School. The program pro-gram as printed gives promise of a rousing good time. Preparations Prepar-ations are under way to care foi a big crowd and a hearty welcome wel-come is assured. N. L. Peterson, our well known real estate dealer, and Mrs. Peterson, Pet-erson, who are planning a trip tc California, will probably leave the last of this week. Mr. Jos. Dewsnip leaves soon for his cattle ranch near Milner, Idaho. Mrs. Christina Warnick is visiting vis-iting her son Fred,- in Provo. A. D. Ryan was called to Salt Lake Tuesaay of last week, to attend his wife who is ill at the L. D. S. Hospital. Mrs. Olla Webster and daughter, daught-er, Ore, of Central, Arizona, and mother, Mrs. Hester Damron of Thatcher, Arizona, who have for the last two months been visit ing relatives and friends in Ne-' Ne-' phi, Fillmore and Deseret, left Monday morning for Los Ange-' Ange-' les, Cali., where they will re-, re-, main sometime before returning home.
