Show Affairs of Oasis Mrs. Oda Day has been very ill for the past week but is some better at this writing. Henry Huff has returned home- ' from a business trip to Fillmore, j The prospects for alfalfa seed ! are immense this year, Every one is expecting a good crop if the frost will stay away. A number of the young folks enjoyed the corn roast and Water Wa-ter melon feast at J. C. Hawley's residence Sunday evening. Our post office has been moved into part of the Huff store, on account of the room being wanted want-ed at the hotel. i A car of peaches has been , unloaded the past two days. James Christensen has been ill but is on the improve- John Iverson was bitten by a small bug and has since been suffering with blood poison but is some better now. The McCosh Hotel has changed chang-ed hands and is being remodeled, papered and painted. It has the look now of an up-to-date place and will soon open and be able to accommodate every body. Venus, the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Thompson has the past week been suffering suffer-ing with abscesses of the head but is reported some better the past few days. |
