Show Sunday. Apostle Richards and Pres. Seymour H. Young of the general authorities au-thorities were present. A great many visitors were present from the neighboring neigh-boring towns, and a very enjoyable time was had. The city election in Fillmore resulted re-sulted In choosing the following officers offi-cers for the next two years: Mayor, Frank Roblson; recorder. Hen Walters; treasurer, Albert Shall; councllmen, Peter L. Brunson, Wni. N. McBrlde, Arthur Ilrunson and George Pyper. J. J. Star ley holds over as councilman. Tbe Fillmore Gem Dramatic played "The Runaway Wtfe of Gerald Mack" last Saturday night to a good bouse. Those who attended seem to be well satisfied. The Y. M. 1. A. Dramatic Company played "Coast Folks' to good house last Thursday night The cast was strong and the audience felt perfectly satisfied with the way they played their parts. The Gem Dramatic Company play, ed "The Runaway Wife of Gerald Hiuke" at Kanosh last Saturday night The same play was reproduced In Fjllmore last Tuesday night to a good audience, notwithstanding the fact that it was a second performance. We wish to encourage these home dramatic dra-matic companies. The people got tbe entertainment and the money stays at home. Several professors from the U. A. C. lectured in Fillmore last Monday evening. eve-ning. Christian Anderson occupied the time In ward meeting last Sunday. Mn. James Chesley gave birth to an 8-pound baby girl 8unday evening. All doing well. Miss Rse Dentle is suffering with ft severe cold. FILLMORE NOTES The High School basket ball team Is developing considerable strength. Tbe addition of Rodney Stott who Hi expected here soon will make the boys confident of winning over Hinckley this year. Prof. Fred W. Reynolds of the University of tHah Is offering an extension ex-tension course in Shakespeare to the teachers of Eastern Millard County. The course Is open to those who wlHh to take a listening course ss well as to those who desire credit. The charge will depend upon the number num-ber enrolling, b-lng merely enough to cover the expenses of offering the course. Mr. Earl Stott Is receiving great praise for the way in which he has developed out of raw material an efficient ef-ficient band and orchestra. The band played on the streets of Fillmore on election day. The orchestra has been playing for dances for some time. Pres. Hinckley wss surely right when he told the people of Fillmore that F. E. Stott was made of the right kind of stuff. The Mother s Social league met at the home of Sister Ester William-son's William-son's last Tuesday afternoon. Sister Rhoda Melville read an article on Government of Small children" from a Child Home and School Magazine. Sister Lliie Carilng sang "Father Has a Sweetheart." After tbe program pro-gram was arranged for the next meeting meet-ing a dainty lunch was served. All enjoyed the afternoon very much. Quarterly conference was held In Fillmore last Friday.
