Show Immensity of Movies More than 11,000,000 persons-a persons-a day see moving pictures. The capital invsted in motion picture theatres is estimated at $120,000,000. The latest available avail-able figures show that - $275,000,000 annually is spent by the public to see the shows. These figures are eloquent. In almost all other respects, popular amusments cost highei than it used to. The people who once were satisfied with a $50 bicycle now have a $1,000 automobile. auto-mobile. Those who used to spend a cheap vacation visiting relatives in the country now go to a summer hotel or hire or own a bungalow. Many old fashioned people cal it extravagent expenditure of money. Yet the picture shows are so cheap for so many really Kood performances that the working man may not be spending spend-ing any more for his fun than he used to years ago.
