It Is generally believed that advances ad-vances In wages or reduction in hours of paper mill employes, bagging and burlap workers, machinists and operatives oper-atives in other industries, all are traceable to the movement which had Its origin In Lawrence. The number of persons thus to benefit is more than 300,000. Advances In the prices of woolen and cotton goods which have been made or which are In prospect will place upon the tikltnate consumer much of the burden of the additional eiwt to the textile 'manufacturers. This will Aggregate between ten and iwelve million dollars In the next year. It Is estimated. |
