Show Millard County Court Proceedings State of Utah vs. L. A. Williams, Will-iams, who was convicted at the last term of court on the charge of grand larceny. The court overruled motion for new trial w-hich he was "holding under advisement and sentenced prisoner pris-oner to an indeterminate term in the state prison. William's attorney at-torney gave notice of appeal and the prisoner was released on ?750 bonds. Charles Christensen vs. Paul Sohofsky, judgement rendered against defendent in the sum of $6,223.20, principal, interest and attorney's fee. Wm, Higgins vs. James Far-rel Far-rel and wife, judgement returned return-ed in favor of plantiff. In the matter of Peter Hughes vs. Delta State Bank, court took same under advisement. Consolidated Wagon & Machine Ma-chine Co. vs. Fred Barben, taken under advisement. Milton Moody vs. Millard County School Board. The court ordered briefs filed on both sides within ten days. Hazel Huntsman vs. Allen Huntsman, divorce, decree granted and alimony allowed in the sum of $12.50 per month, also a division of property. James A. Kelly vs. Wm. B. Higgins, case taken under advisement. ad-visement. The case of Attorney C. E. Norton of Salt Lake vs. settlers under the old Oasis Irrigation project, in which Mr. Norton was sueing to recover attorney's fees of $4,900 he claimed due him at the time of dissolution of the company, was tried in Delta last Saturday, the settlers being represented by Attorney J. Alex Melville. After hearing the testimony in the case the judge took the case under advisement and will later pass judgment according to testimony rendered. About seventy of the old settlers under the Delta Land & Water project, which was formerly the Oasis project, are affected by this suit, and a good many of them were on hand to protest the claim. |
