A lot of manure is being hauled haul-ed out and some of our most progressive pro-gressive citizens are tearing down their old cow-sheds and putting up shingled stables with cement floors. We will never be rid of flies until we do all these things. The district school children have cleaned up the school yards beautifully and the Academy boys are putting in two double tennis courts. The Hinckley Dramatic Co. played "Squire Tompkins' Daughter," in a most pleasing manner to a large audience. The receipts will go to pay on the church organ. New streets have been opened and much improvement done on the roads and sidewalks, by the town board. The clean-up spirit has extended. extend-ed. Principal A. I. Tibbets with the eight grade has cleaned the school building and grounds, and made swings which add to the many play things for the children. child-ren. The Academy teachers were surprised in a pleasing manner by the students of the Night School. The people of Hinckley were reminded of the birthday of the Father of our Nation by being sernaded cn the morning of the 22nd, by the splendid band of the Millard Academy, under the direction of Prof. J. W. Baily. J, S. Blake, chairman of the Academy fund Committee, with others have visited every family in the ward, and met with good success, so that the allotment of $765 will be paid by next Stake Priesthood meeting which will be Saturday at Hinckley. Misses. Mary Cropper and Nina Pratt will open a millinery store in tha room south of the barber shop. The opening day will be March 15th. Miss Pratt leaves next week for Salt Lake to select the hats.
