Information was forthcoming from an authoritative source on Sunday that Japan has renewed re-newed her attempts to obtain a footing foot-ing on the western hemisphere. At the present moment, it was stated stat-ed on high authority, Japan is negotiating nego-tiating with Colomibia for the purchase pur-chase of a site on her coast. These negotiations are of comparatively compara-tively recent origin, it is said, and follow the failure of Japan to consummate consum-mate a similar bargain with' the republic re-public of Panama.
