Mr. Welch afterwards ( came over to the west side and has been visiting around this section for ( a few days. Saturday afternoon he will meet the farmers and others Interested In-terested In demonstration work at Hinckley, at which meeting it Is ex- ( pected to complete the organisation . of the central farmers association. , It Is hoped that there will be a large attendance at this meeting. The ( benefits of ft demonstrator aud the continuance of his operations here In ( the future depend upon the Interest the farmers take In bis work. Every ( one knows that there Is plenty of work for a demonstrator to do In thla county, coun-ty, and It will be the duty of the va- ' rlous local organisations, In connec , tlon with the central organization, to , plan the work so that the expert'e time may be used to the greatest ad- , vantage. We hope the attendance will be large enough to convince Mr. Welch that his services are needed and appreciated. He is with the plant industry branch of the Agricultural Agricul-tural Department and associated wtth the Agricultural College. While his specialty is seeds he Is an authority on agricultural subjects generally. |
