Show followed by loma very good readings and recitatlones, among which were readlugs by the president and Fred Hawman and a recitation by Toiaa Folsom. The society paper waa read by Ed Pearson. The musical part of the program consisted of several plecea by the orchestra, vocal salo, "I've Been Hoodooed," by H. K. Beck, violin aolo by Prank Johnson, wlfh accompaniment, and a vocal duet by Marcla and Helen Beck. The eulire program waa enjoyed by all preent. 8, T. L,, Society Reporter, j LITERARY SOCIETY MEETING. Tie South Tract Literary Society held Its regular melng Saturday, April 19. with J. P. Fidel as president and Nina Hoyt as secretary. During the business session one of the mem bers was appointed to secure more lamps. At the request of the editor of the Chronicle, ft regular reporter was appointed for tbe society.
