Hilton of Delta, was elected elect-ed tfeasurer of the Junior Home Economics Club at the Brigham Young University at a recent meet-. meet-. inS- Plans are being formulated v 53 for the year's activities, which will "V include an interest among home economics students in the home and family life. Miss Hilton is a sophomore. M-S Max Jones and their small daughter, from Provo, visited in Delta from Wednesday to Sunday, with Mrs. Jones parents, M-S David Dav-id Terry. Clarence Nielson of Oak City was operated on In the Delta hospital for appendicitis on Oct. 30 and is now recovering. M-S Thomas Reilly have moved to Delta to make their home, and have bought the John Cooper house here. They were living at South Gate, near Los Angeles and visited here two months ago with Mrs. Reilly's parents, M-S Johnny Adams. Mr. Reilly is opening a shop in Delta for welding and repair re-pair work. M-S James Wilkins, for many years residents of Delta, visited here last Wednesday night at the home of M-S Norman Gardner. They left Thursday to return to their home in North Hollywood, and had been visiting in Salt Lake City and Provo with relations. Mrs. Wilkins was recovering from an operation and two sieges of pneumonia pneu-monia that followed. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pace returned to Delta Saturday from a visit in Homedale, Idaho, with Mrs. Pace's mother, Mrs. Amy Smoot. Her brother, 1st Sgt. Rue Ricketts and his wife were also there visiting. Rue was in the service over four years, and was in he Pacific. He was released this fall, and is held in the Reserve Corps. SALT LAKE CITY Miss Beth Cor-bett Cor-bett is an active member of one of the Gospel teams at Westminster Westminst-er College, which will begin its service to neighboring churches by conducting services in the Presbyterian Pres-byterian Churches at American Fork and Springville on November 11. The six students who make up the team have prepared a program pro-gram of music, readings, and talks under direction of Rev. Marion S. Hostetler, professor of Bible. The Westminster College Glee Club, of which Miss Corbett is also a member, will sing at the Salt Lake City Y. M. C. A. at 5 p. m. on November 11. M-S Bob Clark, who lived in Delta Del-ta several years ago, when Mr. Clark was here with Airways Communication, Com-munication, have a new daughter, born in California Oct. 31. M-S Pete Kaufman from Sun Valley, Val-ley, Idaho, visited in Delta during the week with M-S Ray Skinner. They went on to Baker, Nevada, to visit Mr. Kaufman's brother, Ralph Kaufman. Mrs. Ed Humphries has word from two other sons in the service, One, Wayne Humphries, Slc, writes he expects to be home by Jan. 1. He was in the Hebrides, then the Mar-snails, Mar-snails, and Wake. Ray Steffens, Slc, also expects to be home a-round a-round Jan. 1st from the South Pacific. Pa-cific. He was on Okinawa when the typhoon struck. He made two trips to China, and is now in Manila. Ma-nila. He was on the first boat to land at Saipan. M-S Milo Hutchings from Salt Lake City are visiting here with their daughters, Mrs. Reva Skid-more, Skid-more, in Delta, and Mrs. LaVeda Bishop, in Hinckley. Captain and Mrs. Grant Seeley, who were married in Las Vegas on Oct. 25, while Captain Seeley was on leave, are spending two weeks in Delta with Mrs. Seeley's parents, par-ents, M-S Otis Walch. Ianthus Parker, from Ruth, Ney., spent Saturday night and Sundaj in Delta with his family. M-S Orran Ashby spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake City. M - S L. N. Nickle returned to Delta this week from Salt Lake City, where they have been for two weeks for Mrs. Nickle to have special treatments at the hospital. M-S Leland C.
