Show HINCKLEY . . . Mrs. Clara Stewart Avard Rigby of Salt Lake was in Hinckley Thursday. He has the school lunch program In charge and visits all over the state checking check-ing on conditions and success of each place. M-S LeeRay Pratt are visiting here. Lee Ray spent 3 years in the service and now has his discharge. They plan on attending school at Snow academy in Ephraim. Mrs. Alice Bliss, Mrs. Ray Hardy and Farron Bliss left Sunday to take Raymond Finlinson to Long Beach. They spent the week with Mrs. Helen Cox, then visited the city of Tia Juana, Mexico before returning home Friday. M-S Roy P. Hilton received word their son S 1c Ross Hilton is in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Pvt. Harlan Hilton, a paratrooper, has just landed in Tokyo. The stake missionaries had a temple excursion to Manti Friday. The missionaries who attended were M-S Ivan Wright, M-S Wm. B. Pratt, M-S Lafe Nielson,' M-S Layton Bishbp, M-S Lorenzo Christensen, M-S Pat Barney, M-S Norman Erickson and M-S I. H. Tippetts. Captain Leland Wright, wife and Children spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day visiting friends and relatives here. He is a captain in the Red Cross and has charge of all field work. He has 5 stations in Utah with headquartera at Kearns. Sunday night's program in the church was given by some of the returned servicemen. Le Ray Pratt, Wayne Blake, Lee Pratt and Farron Far-ron Bliss all told of their most interesting in-teresting experiences. M-S George Stewart went to American Fork Thursday to get Mrs. Florence Smith, who has been with her sister Norma, who has been ill but is well now. Pres. Harold Morris and a committee com-mittee went to Salt Lake City in the interest of a hospital for Deseret Des-eret Stake to be located in Delta. Sunday afternoon M-S Vern Bulloch and family and Mrs. Annie An-nie Peterson of Provo, visited with their sisters, Mrs. Lemira Bishop and Mrs. Clara Stewart. The Relief Society bazaar held Thursday night was an outstanding outstand-ing success. Everyone danced until 9:30 when the articles were sold. Where a number of people wanted the satin quilts, their names were put in a hat and the name drawn got it. The highest priced quilt sold for $30. This was purchased by Rex Carter for his mother. After everything was sold and ice cream ! and cake served, the Relief Society So-ciety made $450. They have already al-ready donated $100 to Delta Stake house and intend to purchase a piano for the Relief Society room with their bazaar money. Dee Wright is home from the BYU for Thanksgiving. An enjoyable time was had by all who attended Parents-Teachers meeting Monday night. After the program refreshments were served. M-S Evan Dastrup spent Sunday with their parents, M-S Arthur Reeve. , Miss Cherol Reeve Is home from Logan where she has been attending attend-ing the Agricultural colloge. Misses Thola and Grace Hep-worth Hep-worth are home for Thanksgiving holidays. Miss Delma Jean Webb came from Cedar to spend Thanksgiving. M-S Joe Buchanan spent Sunday in Hinckley. |
