Show Funeral Services for Nellie J. Badger, Hinckley Funeral services were held in Hinckley ward chapel Wednesday, at 1 p.m. for Nellie J. Badger, 72, who died Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Genevieve Gene-vieve Badger in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Badger had been ill for the past 30 years and was confined to her bed for the past 3 years. The services were short with the choir singing the opening song. Prayer was offered by Hugh Hilton followed by a solo by Ladd Cropper. Crop-per. President Morris was the first speaker followed by a number from the trio, Erma Cropper, Ruth Talbot and Bertha Love. N. L. Peterson Pet-erson gave a talk and Mrs. Phyllis Bennett and Mr. Orlando Hepworth sang a duet. The closing prayer was offered by Ben H. Robison. Burial Bu-rial was in the Hinckley cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Earnest Earn-est Theobald. Mrs. Badger was born in Duncan's Dun-can's Retreat, Washington County, Dec. 6, 1871, the daughter of Arthur Ar-thur and Jane Burgess Theobald. She was married to Nathan D. Badger Bad-ger in the St. George Temple on March 31, 1890. They have lived in Hinckley since their marriage. Six weeks ago she became so ill they took her to Salt Lake so she could be with her daughter. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Maude B. Jacob, Provo; Mrs. Eunice B. Johnson, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Miss Genevieve Badger, Salt Lake; a son John C. Badger, Ventura, Calif.; three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Lizette Alldredge and Mrs. Clara Talbot, Oak City and Mrs. Emma Spendlove, Hinckley, two brothers, ,T. George Theobald, Hinckley and Earnest B. Theobald, Fillmore, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. |
