Show Whooping Cough Cases Reported in Town There have been several cases : of whooping cough reported in the : town, and as this disease, not ne- ; cessarily confined to children, is so easily spread, its appearance is i greeted with dismay by all parents. par-ents. With the end of the school year approaching in May, to be : exposed and quarantined for ; whooping cough, the child would : miss the rest of the term. The incubation period on whoop- . ing cough is 7 to 14 days. The ' quarantine is 28 days after the onset on-set of the cough, which precedes the whoop that identifies the disease. di-sease. Any licensed physician can handle contagious diseases, and : may innoculate and release on his own approval. All parents are urged to help combat the spread of whooping : cough by helping prevent exposure expos-ure to the disease, and by observing observ-ing the quarantine.
