Show , Delta Young Farmers Association "It is still morning in America," so wrote a national columnist recently re-cently in a description of opportunities opportun-ities to be found in our great country. coun-try. Certainly it can be said that it is still morning as far as opportunities opportun-ities for agriculture and abundant rural living are concerned. The primary aim of this program pro-gram is to aid young men to become be-come successfully established in farming. One observer recently remarked that the Young Farmer association is comparable to the junior chamber cham-ber of commerce program for the young men in business as far as social, leadership and cooperative activities are concerned. In addition addi-tion to this the Young Farmer program pro-gram has educational features which deal with training in skills, abilities and understanding pertaining per-taining to farm operations and management. Officers were elected at a recent meeting to represent our local organization. or-ganization. They are as follows: Jim Knight, Howard Holman, Very Allen, Owen Gardner, Eugene San-ford, San-ford, and Wilford Munster. These oficers have met and planned a program for our next meeting. The date of the meeting has not been set as yet, but is will be advertised in the near future. Watch for the notice in your paper. We invite you to attend. Marven J. Ogden |
