Show Oak City Mae H. Shipley Sunday services were attended by large crowd Sunday. The Sunday Sun-day school had a large enroll -ment. Sunday evening services had a large audience to listen to Elder El-der Ralph Barney report his missionary mis-sionary experiences. Miss Barbara Anderson, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson And-erson is home from her mission in Calif, where she has labored the past 18 months. She will report her mission July 8 at evening services. ser-vices. She spoke a few minutes at Sunday school last Sunday. Special Interest class was held Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Chamberlain and daughter, daugh-ter, Carol furnished a very delightful delight-ful musical program. About 25 were present. Refreshments were served. The wedding dance of Mr. and Mrs. Giles (Dorothy Nielson) was postponed Saturday evening due to the critical condition of Fred Nielson, brother of the bride. Following Fol-lowing an operation at Delta hospital, hos-pital, Mr. Nielson is now at a hospital hos-pital at Salt Lake. He underwent another operation and is reported as slightly improved at this writing. writ-ing. Visitors seen in Oak City were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Howes and children from Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sheriff 'from Riverton, relatives re-latives of the Nielson 'family. Mrs. Leola Dalton and children are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper. Mrs. Keith Harris from Provo is visiting in Oak City at the Harris home. Diane Harris has been visiting in Provo the past two weeks and returned home with them. Week end visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Robison. Mrs. Don Anderson And-erson and daughter, Bernice, Misses Mis-ses Maurine, Colleen Anderson and Afton Lovell. Also Verna Mae Drol-linger Drol-linger and Genieve Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lovell enjoyed en-joyed a trip through Yellowstone Park and also visited relatives in Idaho and Wyoming. Miss LaRue Lovell visited for several days at Sunset with Lois Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Matthews and children were week end visitors visit-ors at the home of A. M. Roper. Fireside Chat was held at the home of Geniel Shipley Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones showed pictures of their missions and trips which were interesting. Refreshments were served. Abou 60 were present. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Roberts were tOak City visitors this week. |
