Show milLArd county chronicle Delta, Utah, Thurs., Dec. 13, 1951 Mrs. Emil Pearson and daugh-ter, Mrs. Nona Chesley, returned to Delta Saturday from a visit in Atherton, Cal., with her son, D. H. Pearson, and family.Her new grand child, the baby boy born recently to the Pearsons has been named Barclay Howard Pearson. Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop The Relief Society held a very successful bazaar and chicken sup-per last Friday evening . Many lovely articles were auctioned off. A good program was enjoyed by a large crowd. lone Christensen sang a solo accompanied by her S,ister, Lula Marie Hilton. Inez Ann Kelly danced; Mrs. Chamberlain from Delta played a piano accom-paniment for her and also for little Carl Nichols and Dickie Dav-idson who danced together. NOTICE TO DOG OWNERS Due to the greatly increased number of Dogs in Delta which are not properly cared for, it has been decided by the City Council to strictly enforce the City Ordinance pertaining to dogs. The Ordinance states that it shall be unlawful for any person owning or keeping any dog in the town without paying an annual fee for licensing. Therefore Dog Owners shall contact City Officer Carl Miller and purchase license immediately. Also licensed or not, Dogs shall be kept from running loose after 6 p. m. Dogs found in Violation of the City Ordinance after Jan. 15, 1952, will be picked up by officer Miller and disposed of. Male licenses are $2.00 and female $5.00. BY ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL Mrs. Ruth Dewsnup of Deseret a reading and Hazel Skeem and Evelyn Skeem also gave readings. Karl Stanworth left Friday night to continue his journey to Fort Lewis, Wash., after an eight day delay enroute which he spent with his parents and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stanworth went as far as Salt Lake City with him. They returned home Sunday. Mr. Kelly Hawley came home Tuesday from Dugway where he has employment for the winter. He will return to his work Thursday. Howard Roundy left Monday morning to drive to Los Anneles with a load of honey. He will be back this week sometime. Little Ann Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Webb of Beaver is visiting with her aunt, Mrs. Grant Petersen, while her mother is in the hospital with a new baby. Mrs. Mary Henrie, stake president of the Relief Society visited our Relief Society meeting Tuesday. Mrs. Minnie Ashby, who has been in Denver, Colo., with Mrs. Julian Rasmusson for the past six months is here with her daughter, Eleanor Nielson and family, Saturday. They visited in i illmore. Charlie Nelson of Salt Lake City visited with his sister, Mrs. Rhea Whatcott Friday. ' Mrs. Hettie Johnson spent two days here with her daughters, Mrs. Mina Overson and Mrs. Mary Johnson. Mrs. Louis Thompson returned home from Cedar City after a ten day visit with her father, who suffered a broken arm and was Hospitalized several days. Mrs. Thurlo Wiley was happy to have her folks from Oasis and Delta for the day Wednesday. Sol Angel has been in town the past week renewing old acquaint-ances with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen were week end shoppers in Salt Lake. Miss Patricia Gronning of Mil-for- d spent the week end here vis-iting relatives and friends. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gronning. Ivan Nielson was a stake repre-sentative to our Sunday School Sunday. Misses Marilyn and Barbara Ha-yes were home from Provo Sunday. Mrs. Beverly Dutson is in Fill-more for two weeks at the home of her parents, who are in Calif-ornia. Eddie will go to bring Mrs. Dutson next Saturday. Sunday evening was ward con-ference with the stake presidency in attendance. A good program was enjoyed by a large crowd. AND THE BUSIN-ESS TO BE TRANSACTED AT SAID MEETING NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Stock-holders of the Delta Canal Com-pany, a corporation, will be held on Tuesday, the 15th day of Jan-uary, 1952, at the hour of 12 noon, at the Sutherland Ward Hall, R. At the Annual Meeting of the stockholders to be held on the third Tuesday of January, 1953, there shall be elected three (3) Directors to hold office for a tern, of two (2) years, and two (2) Directors to hold office for a per-iod of one (1) year. Thereafter, at each annual election, the suc-cessors to the Directors whose term shall expire in that year, shall be elected to hold office for a term of two (2) years. There shall be held on the third Tuesday in January of each year, beginning with the year 1953, at 1 o'clock p. m. of said day, at the office of the company at Delta, Utah, an Annual Meeting of the Stockholders of this corporation for the election of the members of the Board of Directors whose terms shall have expired in that year, and for the transaction of such other business as may lawfully come before said meeting. The Board of Directors of the corpor-ation shall elect the other officers of the corporation and such offic-ers shall hold office during the pleasure of the board. Any officer may resign by filing a written re-signation with the Secretary of the company, or in case of the resign-ation of the Secretary, with the President or nt of the company. Any Director may be removed by a majority vote of the capi-tal stock of this corporation at a meeting called for that purpose at which at least two (2) weeks notice shall have been given by personal service, or by mail to the addresses of each stockholder, as shown by the books of the company, and by advertisement once each week for at least two weeks in some newspaper publish-ed at the town or city where the present place of, business is locat-ed, or in case no such newspaper is published in such city or town, then in a newspaper having a gen-eral circulation therein, and the successors to those Directors re-moved shall be chosen at the same meeting. 4.
