Show Three Deltans Talk Over KSL On Farm Program Elven W. Orme, agricultural director di-rector of the KSL program, "This Business of Farming," sponsored by the Utah Copper, Division of Kennecott Copper, was in Delta during the week to make recordings record-ings for coming programs. At the Millard county offices Albert Al-bert Skidmor, PMA, made a recording re-cording on land leveling, which was broadcast over KSL Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. Lee Rogers, assistant county agent, made one on dairying, dairy-ing, which was broadcast Wednesday Wednes-day at 6:45 a.m. Mr. Rogers also made one on alfalfa seed production, which will be broadcast Friday at 12:15 p.m. in "This Business of Farming." Athena B. Cook, Chronicle reporter, was at the time a listener, and was almost struck dumb when asked to say a few words. Readers are invited to hear this broadcast, and get in on the next one. Mrs. Cook has learned since that John Avery Bishop and Cecil Lo-see Lo-see had good results in warming up their alfalfa seed filled with their smoke pot. Their equipment was from war surplus, weighs 2M tons, and is what was used in beach landings in war times. Combining Com-bining smoke and water, and using us-ing a northeast breeze, they flooded flood-ed the field with warm smoke. |
