Show North Travt Mr. and Mrs. Frrfnk Foote and daughter, went to Salt aLke City on Monday and will spend several days there. 28 Jolly Stitchers and husbands, sat down to a pot luck supper on Saturday evening, April 1 at the club room . Following supper 500 was played . Mrs. Etta Underhill and Mr. Lloyd Nickle winning high score and Mr. Deem and Mrs. Nickle Nic-kle low. The Sutherland Primary officers entertained the children at an earlier ear-lier party on Monday. Sunday evening Sacrament services ser-vices were a Scout Court of Honor and Tuesday evening the MIA entertained en-tertained with a special program, consisting of a one act play and other numbers. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Woolsey and small son of Cedar City, visited at the Charles Jensen home. Jack Jensen was a week Visitor. The Bishopric of Sugarville spon sored a dancing party on Monday evening. The Sugarville Primary enjoyed their spring party on Tuesday. Mr. Cecil Shurtz and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jensen enioyed a visit from a navy buddy and his wife of Cal. After Visiting here they accompanied the couple to Salt Lake City where they went thru the LDS temple. Mr. and Mrs. John Hersleff visited visit-ed Saturday and Sunday in Miners ville and Milford with friends. Mrs. Evelyn Davis visited Satur-. day and Sunday in Prbvo with the Dr. Twitchell family. Mrs. Eleanor Roberts and her mother, Mrs. Sephia Robison, visited vis-ited in Provo on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan May spent a couple of days in Salt Lake City over the week end. About 2 weeks ago they enjoyed a most thrilling experience. Over an short wave station from Salt Lake they Visited with their son, Richard who is on a mission in Hawaii. They visited for about two hours and a half. We extend our sympathy to the family of Samuel E. Hill, the elderly eld-erly gentleman, having been in poor health for some time, passed away at the Fillmore hospital on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Norman Meinhardt, Mr. Art Hill and Mr. Frank Hill are members of the family who reside at Woodrow. Bert Sanford is home for a few days. He has been in New Mexico. He is employed with Ray Skinner and his rodeo business. As You Like It club will meet with Mrs. Maxine Owens as hostess host-ess on Thursday evening. The Third ward of Delta will produce a three act play in the Sutherland church on Friday evening |
