Show Exchange Vows In Logan Temple Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Sanford announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, dau-ghter, Dorothy, and Glen C. Terry, of Hyrum, Utah. The ceremony was solemnized in the Logan temple Friday, June 16, with Pres. La Ray Christensen, uncle of the bride -groom, officiating. The bride wore her great grandmother's dress for the rites. Following the ceremony the couple cou-ple were honored at a wedding breakfast at the Blue cafe in Logan Log-an given by W. H. Terry, father of the bridegroom. Guests were parents, sisters and the bridal party. par-ty. Saturday evening, June 17, Mr. and Mrs. Terry were honored at a wedding reception at the Sanford San-ford home at Sutherland, where the house and lawns were decorated decorat-ed with large baskets of flowers. The bride wore a lustrous cream-colored cream-colored satin and lace gown with a sweeping court train. A small circlet of pearls held her fingertip finger-tip veil and she carried an arm bouquet of red roses. She was attended by Miss Shirley Shir-ley Stevens of Montpelier, Idaho, as maid of honor, and four bridesmaids, brides-maids, Miss Helen Moulton, of Graybull, Wyo., Miss Marian Smith of Preston, Idaho, Miss Shannon Fuhriman, of Logan, and Miss Patricia Pat-ricia Cook of Price. They were gowned in pastel shades and each wore a hand-crocheted lace picture pic-ture hat and carried balls of roses and carnations on their wrists. Two small flower girls were Misses Mis-ses Margaret Ashby of Delta and Marcia Allen, of Ely, Nevada. They wore matching yellow organdy dresses and carried green satin-lined satin-lined baskets of sweet peas. Byron Turner, of Logan, a frat- ernity brother, stood as best man for Mr. Terry. Ushers were Gordon Moody, John Walker, Eugene Sanford, San-ford, of Delta, and Gary Carvel of Nephi. Guests were received by Mrs. Dewey Sanford and Mrs. H. W. Orme, Mrs. Lora Allen of Ely and Mrs. Ragnal Welher of Provo presided pre-sided at the serving table which was beautifully decorated with a tiered wedding cake on a cream satin cloth. Roses topped the cake which was encircled with orange blossoms and white tapers. Mrs. Elma Wanklier, of Nephi, and Mrs. Eddys Fidel, of Grand Rapids, Iowa, were in charge of the trousseau room. Mrs. Ray Fore man of Boise, Idaho, Louise Mad-sen Mad-sen of Manti and Clorine Johnson of Lynndyl were in the. gift room. Assisting with the serving were cousins of the bride, Mrs. Dan Han sen, Miss Helen Turner, Katherine Sanford and Phyllis Sabey of Span ish Fork. Assisting the Sanfords in entertaining enter-taining guests were W. H. Terry of Hyrum, Mrs. Clarence Cook, of Evanston, Wyo., and Mrs. Ray D. Nicholes, of Provo. Background music was played by Mrs. Norma Hannifin on the vio lin, accompanied by Mrs. Norma Wright. Other music was given by Dale Blackburn of Logan, Mrs. Paul S. Nicholes of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Christensen of Nephi, and Sigma Kappa sorority girls. Toasts to the bridal couple were given by Miss Fuhriman and George C. Scott. After cutting the wedding cake and the bridal dance, the couple, left for a honeymoon trip. They will return to make their home in Nephi for the summer. |
