Show " - ' r t ' 7. v. .- r- "l ' t V - -t 1 , i - V - u r " . v - x - r : i i 5 y 4 lf 1 ' 3 , -t" Utah Lions will see the sites of proposed dams on Green River, Riv-er, to furnish water and power which will result in two-fold increase in the State's population populat-ion and double the number of acres now being farmed, when they gather in Vernal, May 31, - June 1 and 2 for their annual convention. Echo park dam and Central Utah project, when com pleted will make Utah the leading lea-ding industrial state of the in-termountain in-termountain west. Echo Park dam site is located about 35 miles northeast of Vernal. There will be no lack of entertainment for the visiting Liens as there is being planned excursions to scenic areas, visit to the Field House of Natural History, Dino-sary Dino-sary Quarry, Green River Fish Fry, canyon outings and a tour of the scenic loop to the Uinta mountains. As General Chair -man. Dr. F. G. Eckelson has a corps of committee chairman and workers busy for the big affair. B. H. Stringham and J. A. Cheney are vice chairmen. Dr. Ray E. Spendlove, president of the Vemal Lions Club, is convention con-vention president. Dr. G. S. Fran cis, Wellsville, district governor of 28-U; Robert L. Pixton, Draper, Dra-per, district governor of 28-T; Le Roy Johnson, Provo district govermor of 28-A and Bert C. Milne, St. George, district governor gov-ernor of 28-H are members of the committee, with Mr. Johnson John-son as chairman of district governor gov-ernor participation.
