Jean Harris and Grant Harris were in attendance. A wedding dance in their honor will be held Saturday evening, June 25. Everyone is invtied to attend. TalEtot Family Holds ItcEinioii The family of Mrs. Clara E Talbot held a family reunion on bunday afternoon, June 19, in the Oak City canyon.. Lunch was serv- ed to all after which a soft ball game was played. Those not play-ing ball visited. The family was organized for the following year with Loren Tal-bot president; Mrs. Edwin Skeem vice president; and Mrs. Basil Tal-bot, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Talbot is the mother of 13 children, 11 of whom are still living. She has 49 ' and 7 grandchildren There were 90 attending, 14 of whom were visitors. Young Connie 3laUe Dolta EHoitie After a wedding trip in Califor-nia, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Warnick have returned to Delta to make their home. They were married June 1, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Bishop Bunker performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Walker accompanied them to Las Vegas. The bride was formerly Deloris Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Oasis. Mr. War-nic- k is a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Warnick, and a veteran of World War n. Mrs. Warnick was honored at a tea and shower Wednesday V afternoon of last week, given at the home of her parents. 1-- H Club Meets In Oasis Home The Oasis 4-- club had their meeting at Inez Kelly's Friday, June 10. All members were present Shirley Williams and Joan Will-iams were visitors. Joyce Huff told about the parts of sewing mach-ines. The second year worked on slips. The first year worked on scarves. Later strawberry short-cake and punch were served for refreshments. Their last meeting was held at May Jean Barber's Friday, June 17. Inez Ann Kelly and Hazel Skeem were absent. Ice cream, cup cakes and punch were served for refresh-ments. Reporter, Evelyn K. Skeem. CAHD OF THANKS We wish to thank all who were so kind and thoughtful during the days of bereavement for our beloved husband and father. Mrs. Charles Edward Humphries I and family. Mrs. Lora Skidmore and son, from Martinez, Cal.., arrived in Delta Sunday for a visit of two weeks with her father, P. T. Black and others of the family. Her hus band, Kenneth Skidmore, will join the family here later, and they plan to go on to Salt Lake then to visit others. Mr. and Mrs. James Works, of Monrovia, Cal., arrived in Delta Monday, and will spend several weeks here, visiting their daught-er, Mrs. Maxine Bishop, and fami-ly. Mr. Works will asist in the building of the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bishop, for which he drew the plans. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wright spent Tuesday in Salt Lake. Mrs. Mabel Warnick and her mother, Mrs. Fendry, returned last week from a two weeks visit in Wyoming with Mrs. Warnick's brothers at Green River and in Lander. Mrs. A. C. Carlson and family from Salt Lake City visited her sister, Mrs. Mable Warnick, and mother, Mrs. Fendry, in Delta over Sunday and Monday. They were returning fronT a trip in the Utah national parks. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Henrie, and daughter, Mrs. Warren Henderson, left this week for a trip in south-ern Utah and the national parks. " -- " ""'" " --yyi n .....
