Show Oak City MAE H. SHIPLEY A wedding dance will be held for Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harris, at the Oak City Amusement Hall Saturday evening, June 25. Everyone Every-one is invited to dance with these newlyweds, that night. Scouts held a party for Emmron Jenkins. He has lived with his grandmolhr Mrs. Clara Talbot the past winter and leaves with his parents for Virginia this week. Twelve scouts enjoyed the weinie roast in the Canyon. The leaders were Wilbur Olson and Neil Lov-ell. Lov-ell. They all joined in wishing Emmron success in his new home. Mrs. Lydia Vawdrey and children child-ren from Draper are visiting her mother, Mrs. Caddie Lovell. Mr. Robert Nieslon has gone to Texas for six weeks ROTC training. train-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Nielson spent several days visiting in Oak City. Sheriff . reunion was held in the Canyon Saturday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper, of Caliente, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheriff, from Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sheriff and family, also from Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff from Lynndyl, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Sheriff and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nielson from Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Roper and Miss Helen Schick are in Salt Lake to attend a wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Atkins and Miss Ramona Finlinson from Cedar visited in Oak City Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Sara Finlinson had her mother, Visiting for a few days. . Mr. and Mrs. Mecham and children child-ren visited at the home of Mrs. Mecham's father, John E. Lovell for a few days. Miss Barbara Anderson spent Saturday and Sunday visiting her parents. She is employed at Bryces Canyon this summer. Miss Pauline Lovell visited at the home of Ferrel Walker for several days. Mrs. Ellis Anderson and daughter daugh-ter Avis, visited in Richfield. They attended a farewell pary for Mrs. Anderson's nephew, John R. Mor-rey, Mor-rey, who leaves soon on a mission. Mrs. Bruce Lyman and son, David, Dav-id, were in Oak City this week . Mrs. Thelma Dutson and Miss Wilma Wixom visited their sister in Idaho this week. Sunday vening, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Roper and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Dutson entertained in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roper. Rop-er. 30 people enjoyed this party. Mr. and Mrs. Norvel Anderson and children from Provo are visiting visit-ing in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Jacobson have their grandson, Leo Brunson, from Fillmore, visiting for a few days. Sunday evening Mr. Farrel Smith was the speaker. 25 elders and wives enjoyed a weinie roast in the canyon Saturday Satur-day night under the direction of the Elder's Quorum. Mrs. Clara Talbot and Miss Viola Talbot are visiting at Clearfield this week. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Day and Mr. and Mrs. Lennox Finlinson were Oak City visitors. Wesley Shipley brought his parents par-ents home from Salt Lake.. He is visiting for a few days then will spend the remainder of his vacation vac-ation in Cal. |
