After Friday Fri-day the shooting is legal between one-half hour before sunrise and one hour before sunset, with a lim it of five clucks a day. The season will close December 2 at 4:07. Ducks are plentiful this year with almost all slough and duck areas raising a good crop for the fall shooting. Mallards are specially speci-ally plentiful. Reports are that a large number of geese have also been hatched in Utah which will make for good hunting. The limit on geese is 2 Canadians a day, but four additional snow geese may be shot, or if no Cadanians" are killed, then 6 snow geese may be shot daily. The possession limit is double the daily limit on ducks, after the first day. - Waterfowl may be kept in storage stor-age until March 2, but no birds wioir V.q chiyinoH nut nf the state JI1CIJ. Lie jiujiyu - 48 hours after the close of the shooting season. This year there has been a raise in the charge for duck stamps, i Hunters 12 to 16 years of age must pay $1.00 for a duck stamp, and all hunters 16 and over must pay $2.00 for their stamps. The stamp is to be glued to the license and signed across the face by the buyer. buy-er. Buckshot and slugs larger than BB's are prohibited ;n this year's shoot, but, of course BB's are legal this year, as well as all sizes of shot smaller. Hunters are particularly warn- ed not to shoot swans. They have been increasing lately and the federal government intends to keep them increasing. Swans are much larger than the snow geese, weighing about 18 pounds, so there is no excuse for a hunter to confuse a swan with a snow goose. Hunters expect a good shoot this fall and from all reports they will get one. |
