Show Moab Red Devils Down Delta By Score of 19-14 The Moab Red Devils outlasted Delta in a 19-14 scoring duel Friday Fri-day night at Delta. Moab wasted no time in entering the scoring column as they rushed 50 yards info pay dirt within two' minutes after the game got underway. Meador's try for the extra point was blocked. Delta quickly retaliated with a first quarter score. Bud Fullmer made 5 yards through the line and Monan Lovell hit Harold Snow with a 10-yard pass over the line. John Whatcott pushed Delta deep into Moab territory with a 15-yard run. A 4-yard gain by Kent Prestwich was followed by another pass from Lovell to Snow, good for 8 yards. Whatcott picked up 3 yards through the line while Prestwich piled up 10 yards. John Whatcott then cut sharply around right end to score. Kent Prest-wich's Prest-wich's placement kick was good. Throughout the second quarter both teams battled to a stand- still. With a minute remaining Meador and Olearain pushed to the Delta 1-yard line. On the 4th down Olearain shot a pass to Ned Dalton in the end zone for a touch down, with one second remaining in the first half. Nielson's placement place-ment was good. After the intermission a Moab drive was climaxed by Biil Meador's Mea-dor's 14-yard run off-tackle to paydirt. John Whatcott made a 45-yard return of the kickoff. On the next play, Bub Fullmer made a spectacular spec-tacular catch of Monan Lovell's pass and raced 40 yards for a TD. The placement kick by Prestwich was good. In the third period the Delta line checked three Moab dirves deep in scoring territory. The first was stopped on the Delta 15-yard line. The second fell short at the 18-yard 18-yard line, while the third penetrated penetra-ted to the 9-yard line.
