Show DOP Semi Annual Convention To Be Held October 2nd Utah Supreme Court Chief Justice Just-ice Roger I. McDonough will. discuss dis-cuss the part history plays in the development of government at the semi-annual convention of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers to be held Oct. 2 in Salt Lake City Convention sessions will be held in the Layfayette room of the Hotel Ho-tel Utah, according to an announcement announce-ment made by Mrs. Kate B. Carter D. U. P. President. Mr. McDonough will speak at the opening session at 10 a.m. Mrs. Carter will give the president's report re-port and a dramatization entitled, "Heart Throbs of the West," will be presented. All county presidents will report during a noon luncheon. During the afternoon general session at 2 p. m. Mrs. Sylvia Jones of Jefferson Jeffer-son county, Idaho, and Mrs. Lou-ella Lou-ella DaJton of Iron county, will speak. From 4 until 5:30 p.m. delegates dele-gates will view the DUP exhibit and state flower show in the State Capitol. A folk lore convention will be held at 8 p.m. The theme will be "Around the Camp Fire." |
