Those who succeod In passing the regld tests applied to applicants ap-plicants will receive, upon graduation, gradua-tion, appointment ns second lieutenants lieuten-ants in the Reserve Officers' corps of tho United States army. They will be required to servo six months In tho regular army during which timo thoy will recoivo $100 a month. At the expiration of that period, nn opportunity op-portunity will be provided, under certain conditions, for tho applicant to enter tho army ns n regular officer offi-cer with regular pay. Whllo attending attend-ing school, thoso composing tho senior sen-ior division will bo allowed nlno dollars dol-lars n month besides their uniforms by tho government. Tho student battalion has not been organized at tho collego yet, becauso tho war department has found It Impossible Im-possible to releaso Captain Abbot, tho commandant, from the duties at Fort Douglos. A tolegram Just received by President Peterson from Washington Washing-ton states, however, that Captain Abbot has now been roleased nnd that ho has been ordered to Logan immediately. |
