Show BISHOPRIC RE-ORGANIZED ATSMITHFIELD Smlthfleld, Aug. 31. Tho bishopric bishop-ric of tho First ward was reorganized reorgan-ized last Sunday, Aug. 26. B. A. Hendricks nnd William Wnddoups of tho stako presidency, and Stake Clerk S. W. Hendricks wero thero to mako tho change. Bishop Geo. Y. Smith and Councellors Geo. Done nnd Jas. J. Melklo wero honorably released. Christian J. Plowman was presented and sustained as bishop, and Georo Done as first, and William II. Hill- i yard as second counsellors. A short talk was given by each of tho outgoing out-going and in-coming officers. After tho members of the stake presidency had spoken a few words each, President Presi-dent Charles H. Hart of the first council of seventies gave an interesting inter-esting talk. Tho Incoming bishopric nro men of high standing, and members mem-bers of the ward can look up to and respect them. May Joy and success crown their labors. Gilbert Roskolley of Battery "C" of tho U. S. army, who held tho position po-sition of bugler, camo homo n few days ago on leavo of absence and sprung a surprlso no tho whole bunch of us really got married. Miss Wnnda Bingham consented to bo his wlfo. Gilbert and Wnnda, accompanied accom-panied by tho groom's mother, Mrs. Maud Itoskolley, left Tuesday morning morn-ing for Salt Lake City, whero they wero married in the templo, Wednesday, Wednes-day, Aug. 29. Theso young peoplo aro well known in Smlthfleld. Tho froom is tho son of the late Bishop Samuel Iloskelley. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Parley P. Bingham, Jr and tho lata Abblo Smith. Tho funeral services over tho ro- mains or uan lowing wero neia in tno First ward tabornacle, Friday, Aug. 24, at 2 p. m. J. J. Melklo conducted conduct-ed tho services. Tho choir sang "O, My Father." Prayer was offered by Bishop C. J. Plowman. Nathan Dono and company sang "Our Vacant Chair." Tho First ward song blrJ, Mrs. E. B. Lundqulst, rendered a solo. Nathan Dono, our favorite, sang. Thos. AUsop, Bishop W. L. Winn, Gcorgo Done, J. J. Melklo were tho spojikor3 and gave consoling words to tho bereaved family. The closing song, "Host, Best for tho Wenry Soul," was, sung by tho choir. Benediction by Supt. 11. V. Larson. Vol-bell Vol-bell of Weston, coming down tho hill west of tho Bear river bridge, turned out to pass a team and toppled over tho embankment.
