Show BURIAL OF MR. BRIGHT ATLEWISTON Lewlston, May 30. Funeral ser-vlcecs ser-vlcecs over the remalnsbf Mr; Isaac Bright were held' In the 1st ward on Saturday. Mr. Br lib t waa an aged and highly respected cltlieh of Low-tston. Low-tston. He was born In Illinois, and, In company with Mr. R. C. Stowart, now living at Logan, drove sheep across the plains to Utah In 1852. Ho settled at Wlllard In 1854 and Id 1860 he moved to Richmond. In 1864, In W. B. Preston's company, he returned to the East and brought Immigrants across tho plains. Ho married Miss Etta Mary Smith In 186C, and three children wero born to them. Ills wife died, and Brother Bright married Cordelia Brower of Richmond In 1874, and six children wero born. Brother Bright again lost his wife, and In 1885 he marrlod Martha Craighead of Smtthfleld In 1887, and seven children wero born. Brother Bright took a very prominent promi-nent part In the early as well as tho later days of Lewlston. He fought with the Indians' at Battlo Creek, located lo-cated northwest of Prestonv The speakers at tho funeral wero Pros. Wm. Waddoups.Jdr. Frank Stephen-Bon, Stephen-Bon, R. C. Stewart of Logan, Mr. Clemens of Oxford, and Goudy Hogan. Mr. and Mrs. H. II. Hnrrl-Bon Hnrrl-Bon rendered special music. Brother Bright Is survived by a wife and thirteen thir-teen children. Miss Arvclla Swlnyard entertained the Clover Leaf swarm of the Bee-Hlvo Bee-Hlvo girls on Friday. Tho Ladles Art and Literary club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Myrtle Pond on Friday. Poems, "Kubla Khan" and "The Mornlni; Hymn In the Vale of Chamount," by Coleridge, wero read by Mrs. Onle Lewis. A reading, "Tho Twa Caur-tins," Caur-tins," was given by Mrs. Maud Stocks. Members present wore: Mrs. Carrie Coley, Ida Rogers, Nell Bcrn-hlsel, Bcrn-hlsel, Mllllo Van Orden, Efflo Vlllott, Helvla Van Orden, Gertrude Rawlins, Rawl-ins, Edna Gustaveson, Ada Van Orden, Or-den, Eva Parkinson, Maud Stocks, Stella Bell, Gale. Lewis, Mary Anderson, Ander-son, and Miss Sadie Bernhisel. Dainty refreshments wero served. Word was received by rolatlve3 that Dr. John C. Stocks of Bountiful, formerly of Lowiston, had nccepted a commission from tho U. S. and would join tho army as a surgeon. Dr Eugene Worley recently returned re-turned from his medical studies In Chicago, and Is visiting In Lewlston. Mr. Perry Jamison epent Tuesday and Wednesday In Lewlston.
