Show CACHE RED ; CROSS CONTRIBUTION WILL BE UPWARDS OF $15,000 Josoph Qulnney, Jr., a member of i the state executive committee of the American Red Cross War Finance committee In connection with the funds committee of the local chapter has commenced an active campaign In Cache county for the securing of our share of the $100,000,000 Red Cross fund. This Is In compliance with the proclamation ot the President Presi-dent of the United States, which provides pro-vides for a fund of one hundred million mil-lion dollars for war relief work under the Red Cross. This week has been set apart as a time for Red Cross Week and tor a national giving to this splendid cause. The work has been well organized and committees wero appointed to visit the various towns of tho county and explain tho matter and ask the committees to get busy and do their share ot the work. The portion allotted al-lotted to Cache Is $15,000, and It is expocted that about $10,000 of this amonnt will bo contributed In Logan. Dr. E. O. Peterson, M. S. Eccles and L. M. Howell visited the south end ot the county; J. A. Hendrlckson, C. W. Hansen and E. W. Robinson, the wost end, and Prof. G. B. Hon-drlcks, Hon-drlcks, Jos. Qulnney, Jr., and Mayor Roy Bullen, the north end. The funds committee of the chapter, In connection with the presidency of tho Cacho stake, will meet with the bishops bish-ops ot the wards and organize tho work In tho city. A preferred list has been made, and special committees commit-tees will be appolntd to solicit from It. The classifications rango from $25 to $500 or more. Thoflo who como under the twenty-flve-dollar classification will be visited by tho ward committees. It is expected thero will be a ready response from all classes. Those who cannot go to tho front should certainly cer-tainly be willing to help those who do go. |
