Show TALK WITH PRESIDENT ON ANTI-TRUST PROGRAM Senator Will Submit Draft Of Bill Differing From Houie Measure Washington, April 15. Senator Nowlands, chairman and Senator Robinson Rob-inson of the interstate commerce com; mltteo conferred with Prosident Wilson Wil-son today relative to the antitrust, legislative program. It was announced announc-ed after tho conference that they, as members of a subcommittee, would submit to the full commlttoe soon their draft of an anti-trust bill. Senator Sen-ator Newlands said he thought the bill might bo ready within a week or ten days, but Senator Robinson thought it could not be agreed on for two or three weoks. That the Senate committee will not take tho omnibus bill prepared by tho Houso as a basis for its measure was apparent, however, and there is still much doubt whether an agreement botween the houses can bo reached as to a definite course to be pursued with respect to the proposed trust legislation. |
