Petition for such a citation, cit-ation, actually nmountlng to an Indictment In-dictment has boon prepared by the grievance commtttco of tho stato bar assoc'Mlon and la ready for filing with tho supremo court. It will bo charged In this petition that Hanson lg not morally fit to bo entrusted with tho responsibilities of an attorney. His alleged bribing ot pollco officers, or attempts to bribe them, will bo cited as the main evidence evi-dence of his unfitness though it is understood other instances of alloged misconduct have been brought into tho charges. It Is expected that tho supremo court will lssuo an order Thursday. This order will clto Hanson to nppear before a referee to bo named by tho court to defend himself against tho coarges. For many months tho grlovnnco committee ot tho state bar association associa-tion has been working on its caso agalnBt Hanson. Last fall Tho Tribune Trib-une announced exclusively that the bar association was considering tho ousting of Hanson as a result of tho Shortello bribery caso. Wlllard Hanson was arrested shortly short-ly after midnight of September 5, 1912, in tho courtyard in the rear of his police station. Ho had under his arm the bloody coat worn by Thomas McGUlls at the tlmo he was shot to death by Alfred Sorenson. Hanson was Sorenson's attorney. Ho took tho coat from tho evidence room at tho police station, according to the pollco, after having bribed two detectives. de-tectives. Bribery Is Charged Following his nrrest tho chief ot pollco announced that Hanson had been attempting- a. systematic bribery of Dotectives W. C. Zeeso and Herbert Her-bert Lelchter after Uioy liad uncovered uncover-ed tho operations of a gang of confidence con-fidence men for whom Hanson Is said to havo acted as attorneys. Tho chief had 180 In currency which ho said had been paid to Zeeso and Lelchter by Hanson. Tho monoy had been promptly turned over to tho chief by tho officers. Hanson was prosecuted on a charge of bribery and tho caso Is still pending. pend-ing.
