Show A Tip From the Irish. A German waiter at a New York hotel ho-tel had a busy timo of it one night recently re-cently trying to servo four Irishmen. As Boon as anything had been ordered each of the four thought ot something else they wanted. They even ordered their drinks ono at a time. They often stopped feasting to watch the waiter running back and forward. When the dinner was over tho host gave tho waiter a bill with the number num-ber "6" on it "You have done grand," ho said. "It was a pleasure to see you run. Wo only wish there were moro like you." The waiter took tho bill to the cashier to get It changed. The cashier looked It over. "How'll you havo It? In shamrocks or shlUa-lahs?" shlUa-lahs?" he asked, pointing to the Inscription, In-scription, which read: "It Is hereby certified that the Irish republic Is indebted to the bearer, f5, redeemable six months after the acknowledgment ac-knowledgment of the Independence of the Irish natloriat the.treisuryo'f tha Irish republic, March 17, 1861." |
