Show nun Our American Heroes As a peopfb we are not given to weeping over misfortunes, but tho nation turns to shed a tear for tho bravo lads of tho Tuscanla. They gavo their lives to the American cause before they had an opportunity opportun-ity to defend it. Their names will not go down In history as heroes who met and vanquished the enemy, but tlmo can never efface the memory of their service. As heroes are measured, meas-ured, history cannot deprive them of their place, for while It has been donled them to punish the Hun, they have mado supremo sacrifice to that end. The final Judgment, however, how-ever, must acknowledge that they gave all within their grasp. In the final reckoning they will share the glories which a hasty world is Inclined In-clined to bestow only on those who survive the battle. The greatest tribute that the American people can pay these men Is to accept their death In' the same spirit as did the men themselvec They did not go out on the, great 'adventure In search of glory or personal per-sonal aggrandisement.
