Show Newton Improving. Several New Homes Erected. Crops about Average Yield. -, Nicwton, Sept. 11, UKCi. Our dls-j dls-j trlct school house ls) being remodeled and will run three schools the coming season. It is pleasing to see the new homes i built this season, from Jenkln's Ave. on the cast to the so called Larson lane on the west. Mr. V. P. Hansen hasjust completed an addition to his cottage which is a great improvement. Mr. W.J. Iiarkcr has finished a tine rock dwelling. An improvement on Third street, a cottage, Is being erected erect-ed for Mr. John Laison. The contract for the masonry work was awarded to Carl Johnson and the carpentry to Ja-cobscn Ja-cobscn & Hansen. Messrs. Fred and A. Anderson, of Hyde I'ark, are plastering plast-ering a line brick house for Mr. C. Christcnscn. Last Sunday there were present at our regular meeting, Profs. J. W. Jen-son Jen-son and Kemp, of tlie H. Y. College, who spoke on education, scholastic religious re-ligious training. Their remarks were both Interesting and encouraging, lip. Itoblnson, of Laketown, related missionary experiences. Mr. Parley Nelson, Prcs. of the Y. M. M. 1. A., of Hcnson, reorganized the association which will commence the season's labor la-bor shortly. The threshing machines aie working work-ing hard to tlnish up, and the average. : yield of grain has been realized. with the exception of a few cases where the wind did some damage. |
