Show The Commerciel Club. On Tuesday morning the general committee appointed by the citizens at tho mass meeting, met at the Commercial Com-mercial Club. Eleven out of the sixteen six-teen members were present and those who were absent cither 'phoned or sent their regrets of their Inability to : attend, on account of sickness or previous pre-vious engagements A suscrlptlon list was drawn up which read as follows. Logan, Utah, September 10, 1005. We, tho undersigned, do hereby subscribe sub-scribe and agree to pay tho amounts set opposite o'ur respective names, for the purpose of assisting in rebuilding and re-equlplng the Mechanical Arts Department of the Agricultural College Col-lege of Utah: Mr. U. F. Riter, Jr.. and Mr. Horace Nebeker were added to the committee and were Instructed to get Into communication com-munication with the prominent men of the county towns, whose names were handed them by the committee. Upon a motion of Mr. S. A. Lang-ton, Lang-ton, the committee decided to wait upon the business men of this city in a body for tho purpose of lalsing tho necessary funds. Accordingly a hack-was hack-was ordered, and the committee men, armed with the subscription list, went forth to secure funds which arc to assist as-sist In the reconstruction of the burnt structuie. From good sources comes the Information Infor-mation that the leaders of t ho student body of the A. C. of U., havea plan under way to start a subscription list to which tho students may subscribe. That bunch have dono such tilings before, be-fore, and a goodly sum may be expected expect-ed when such a movement is once started. |
