Show Clyde Webb Objects To Statements Made in Connection With His Recent Marriage. Clyde Webb, whoso marriage with Juliana Moljerup was chronicled In the last Issue of Tiik Rkpuiilican, together to-gether with a story of tho girl being taken home to Huntsvillc by her father, objects to certain statements therein, and sends tho following for publication. Mr. Webb says: "In answer to a piece about a girl which married under age, I wish It understood that I gave her the best of attention, and those who made the statement that I gave her slight attention at-tention know nothing about the matter mat-ter at all. She will say the samc, that I gave her tho best of attention, and that 1 treated her like a queen She had everything she wanted, and as to me being of "small calibre", 1 wish, to say that I am as broad a minded man as those who daro make such remarks. I would like to havo them prove it beforo be-foro making any such statements again. I wish It understood that whoever who-ever said 1 had her stowed away In tho old bakery building near tho depot Is telling a falsehood and they know It. I will say that I gavo my full con sent for her to return with her father, which the shcrlliand the Judge know. As to being of doubtful worth, I defy de-fy them to provo It. 1 can pioo that 1 am as straight a young man as they can II ml mound anywhero around, and I can prove that I am as much of a hustler as any one. It was also stated that 1 hart left my wife at homo and gonoto Wcllsvllle. This Is a lie. I was with her all tho time after I married mar-ried her till I left her to go homo with her father. I wish to say In closing that the person per-son or parties that mado any statements state-ments such os appeared In last week's paper, shuld bo careful, as I will not stand any more such talk about my wlfo or mysolf. I know who mado tho statements and If they don't want to go to law they had hotter keep their tongues still, as I will not stand for any morosuch lies. Glydi: Wkhu. |
