Show Funeral at Hyrum. Myrtle Sorenson Laid to Rest After an Affecting Service Sunday. The funeral service over the remains re-mains of Myrtle Sorenson, sixteen-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sorenson, of Hyrum, was held In the Hyrum stako meeting house Sunday, thero being an exceedingly large number of friends present. Tho service was held under tho auspices of the First ward olllclals. Tho speakers on tho occasion wero President Parkinson, Park-inson, A. M. Israclscn, William II. Maughan, O. F. Olsen, and O. M. Wilson. These could hardly tlnd words sufllnlent to express their appreciation ap-preciation of tho llfo of this girl who it seems was called beforo her time. Sho was popular.lovcd for her splendid disposition, 'and leaves as sincere mourners all who knew her. At tho scrvlco tho First ward choir rendered excellent musio and M. J. Ballard, of Logan, sang In a most effective way that touching song "I Need Theo Every Hour." Tho pall bearers were six young ladles selected from the deceased's de-ceased's associates, dressed In white. Tho young girl's death has caused a gloom In Ilyrum that docs not como with all deaths. Sho was III but a very few days, appendicitis taking her beforo be-foro it was known by many that sho was seriously III. Tho shock to her friends was indeed severe. Tho family has tho heartfeiu sympathy of many friends. |
