Mkndon, Oct. 10 Thero was a grand ball at Illchards's hall last night that was well attended.thc Mendon Men-don orchestra furnishing the music. Mr. II. T. Richards has returned home after his accident In Salt Lake. Ills arm being bound so tightly Is very painful. His shoulder docs not pain hi m at all. All those who have beets are "rushing "rush-ing them to tho depot. Mr. George and Jerry Uakcr have Japs employed topping their beets. They aro turning turn-ing out line In Mendon, the beets being be-ing good. Mr. John Ladle and family went to Salt Lake with team to attend their son John Ladlo's wedding. He was married on thcllth of October to Miss Emma Bull, of Salt Lake. Mrs. Elizabeth Ruist has gone up to Glenn's Ferry to visit with her two sons, Henry and Alex, who are section foremen up there. Mr. and Airs. Joseph Woodard, of Wellsville, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jos. II. Hardman Sunday. Mrs. Tillle Swltzcrman, from Teton, Is visiting with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hardman Sr. Ncpnl and Jacob Sorenson, Jr. have gone to Salt Lako with the Intention of staying all winter. Miss Minnie Sorenson has gone to Salt Lake. Rumor says she will bo caught In a Snow drift before she returns. Her wedding reception will oc held In Mendon at the residence of htr parents, Mr.and Mrs. Jacob Sorenson. Soren-son. Wo aro sorry to annonnco that Miss Busby, of Logan, has discontinued her music lessons In Mendon on account ac-count of her not having tho tlmo to come over. Wo are very sorry to lose her for she is certainly a good teacher. Some of her scholars 'will go to Logan onco a week to take lessons of her this winter. |
