Hlalr's mining jjljnterests, and he returnes enthuslas- Ktle over not only these prospects but the entire country. So far as the Esmeralda Place r and Red Dot? propositions aie concerned, Mr. Hlalr bellvcs there's great money there, beyond question. He carries with him a small bottle of free gold from the Esmeralda Placer mine, and this certainly looks like the real thing. This, he claims, was secured from three bucketsful of Kiavel which he washed himself. Mr. Blair considers con-siders the placer mine, in which Geo. E. held a llfth interest, as the most valuable, as the expense of getting the ore Is Inslgnillccnt compared with the cost of dcvloping ttie lied Dog. This lied Dog prospect is one of the very best quartz operations there and at the present time one shift is at work and will be continued. The placer Is not being worked just at present pre-sent but Mr. Webber engineer and manager is now installing the most Improved machinery. Those people are Intent on boosting the wondrous opportunities of the Goldtleld countiy and they have no thought lor aught else. The club has just taken a sery lm-poilant lm-poilant step. It proposes to protect, as far as possible, the public from wild cat schemes that arc incident to great mining camps. The club proposes pro-poses to list all legitimate propositions and prospects, and keep on hand all Informations obtainable about these pioposltlon. Mr. Hlalr, in discussing generalities, commented on prices of most everything, every-thing, prices that stagger the average aver-age tenderfoot.
