Lars .lohan Ilcnstroin. of the Logan Sixth waid, who sulTered much during dur-ing the past two years from liver and stomach trouble, died at his homi on South Main Tuesday morning at 1:30 o'clock. The deceased was born !'eb. , 1837, at SJorctl, Sweden, Joined the church In 1H.17, labored as a home missionary In his native land for lle years, emigrated emi-grated to I'lnli In lKijt and afterwards served a two yeais mission. Ho leaves a wife and two grown children. The funeial services was held at the Sixth wa.nl meeting house on Thursday Thurs-day at twclo o'clock. The speakers were II. M. Lewis, J. A. Lelshman, Edward W. Smith, .lohu Thomas, A. (i. Harbor, Hans A. Hansen and Hlshop A. L. Schanky. The deceased was highly respected by all who knew him. He was strictly an upright man In every sense of the terin.unswcrving in his devotion to his religion, and all who knew the deceased will have but kind lemcinbrance of him. Ills friends were somewhat reconciled ,10 his death as it Is relief from his great sufferings. V. II. Conference, Improvements, Blrlhs and General News from Franklin. FltANKMN, ItlAHO, AUgUSt '2X Mrs. William Dalnes was stricken with a malady on August IHth that seems to have Impaired her mind. She was raving Saturday noon to such an extent that It took three men to hold her down. Sister Dallies never was a strong woman and abouttwo months ago was confined, (jultc recently re-cently she was moving, and the strain seems to have been too great. Her manv friends hope and pray that her mind may be restored to her and that she may return to good health. The best of medical attention Is now being given her. On Saturday nlglrt the Heatty Hros. gave a good entertainment consisting of songs, sketches, and a wonderful display of moving pictures. These Pictures were as nearly peifcctas they can be. Sunday and Monday conference convened con-vened here with Apostle Lyman, Historian His-torian Andrew Jensen, Elder Nephl Morris and C. C. Shaw In attendance.
