Show THE FUNERAL OF MORON! PETERSON Was Largely Attended by Friends and Relatives. Deceased Was a Young Exemplary Man. The funeral services over the remains re-mains of the late Moroni Peterson, of the Fifth ward, were held In the ward meeting house Wednesday afternoon. The house was crowded with sympathizing sympa-thizing friends and the lloral decorations decora-tions were numerous and costly. A magnlllcent wieath of choice Mowers was contributed by his fellow laborers from the Lewlston sugar factoiy. The services woie presided over by Bishop Hyde and opened by the choir singing, "When llrst the Glorious Light," followed with prayer by Elder Ajlina Olscn, after which tho choir ss ng"Rcst". Elder Christensen bfmg the llrst speaker: "I knew the deceascd while being a traveling companion com-panion In the missionary Held. He wisa linn believer In Jesus Christ, Ills mission and tho doctrines as taught by Him. The deceased was of sclf-sacrllicing nature and nothing scjmied too hard for him to try to accomplish. Ho was an example to older men In the missionary Meld and was loved and respected by his co-laborers. His life heio at home wAs a lesson for others not of, our faith. The speaker was much overcome by emotion and I at times was on tho vergo of breaking down, so Intense was his grief. Mr. Christensen spoko words of comfort to the brothers and slsteis of the deceased deceas-ed and counseled them to follow his example. Melvln Ballard sang "1 Know that my Redeemer Lives." KUler Geo. Nielson related several events during the life of Biother Peterson. Pet-erson. The speaker offered words of consolation to the deceased. Elder Fonncsbeck, another tiavel-ing tiavel-ing companion of the deceased, endorsed en-dorsed tho romarks of the llrst speaker, speak-er, and said In part: Brother Moroni has already performed one honorabel mission and lias been called away to perform another." Bishop Skanchy: "The deceased has lived a good life, worthy of emulation, emula-tion, and I am proud to be able to call him my friend, and would say that he has lled and died a true Xatter-day Saint." I have always respected him, and In the performance of an honorablo mission mis-sion by the deceased 1 can truly say as the Savior .said, "Well done thou good and faithful servant. Ajoung man of promise and ability has been called away. God's ways are net man's wajs, consequently conse-quently wo must acknowledge tho hand of God and say 'Thy will be done, not mine.' When called upon his mission mis-sion he went ungrudgingly, he did not hesitate but went cheerfully and has accomp'Jshed an honorable mission, and I can say lie continued his mission after returning home."
