It is understood that our respected chief clerk, Charles Bradbury Is moving mov-ing his piano ftom Coveville to his new home In Cache Junction. In a short time this future city will be quite a centre for music and musicians. Our bucolic and genial conductor W. L. Thompson has now moved ills family into their new and magnillcent lesldencc. He has planted a varied assortment of shade and fiult trees about ids giounds and expects in the near future to be ablo to live under the shadow thereof, none daring to make him afraid. On Monday night, June 1st, the fi lends and iclatlvcs of Mr. John Ciookston assembled at that gentle man's residence to do liim honor on the occasion of Ills aulval at the 51st mile stone of life. The event was one long to be lcmembeied. A veo delightful de-lightful piogiam was gone thiough. During tho couise of lunch MUs Lily Crookston and Mr. Win. Hjmeii, Mc-Culloch, Mc-Culloch, rendered a duet and one solo each, which wcie gieatly appieciated bj the compan). Mr. AVIlson, Cache Junction's song and dance artist, followed fol-lowed with a side splitting faiclcal song, delivered In' his most Inimitable manner, which was heaitlly encoied and to which he responded with a song and dance. The next number was a veiy pathetic piece lccited by Miss Maugliau in a povvciftil anduitistlu stjle. Mr. John Market won tho well meilted plaudits of the avsomblj by his beautiful icndltlou of the Hoi) City. Thecompanj was then treated to a tilo fiom those accomplished 'singeis, Miss Lily Ciookston and Messrs. Lee and Maiifh. tho piano accompaniment by Miss Ciookston I being the most notable featuie of this number. Others of the company w ho contiibuted to the pleasure of the evening were Mcsdames Mrlggs, Williams Wil-liams and Hottel, Mcssis. Ciookston, Pitrdle, Williams and Mrlggs. During Dur-ing the course of the evening a sumptuous and substantial supper was served, to which all picscnt did ample Justice, after which games and other amusements 'were indulged in until - a. m. The company then dispersed, voting Mis. and Miss Ciookston to be the most charming hostesses and wishing Mr. Crookston many happy returns of the anuiveisaiy. Those piesent weic: Mr. and Mis.
