But tho chase had aroused the Interest of tho hermit-crab colony, and presently from fifteen to twenty of them were ongaged in a furious battle for the horrlng. Thon occurred tho most amusing episode of all. Out of ths struggling mass there crawled a hermit crab, dragging tho body, somewhat some-what dilapidated by now, of the horrlng, hor-rlng, with which It quietly retired behind be-hind a rock out of sight of Its companions com-panions nnd proceeded to make a moal, whllo all tho othors continued to fight |
