Not long ago a specialist In diseases of tho ear called upon Mr. Edison nnd unfolded a plan of treatment which he wns suro would restore his hearing. Tho Inventor listened to his story with patience, as It was Informative on several sev-eral points. To tho proposition that he submit to treatment, however, Mr, Edison opposed an emphatic negative "What I'm afraid of," said he, "iu that you would be successful. Just think what a lot of stuff I'd havo to listen to that I don't wnnt to hear!
