Committee on streets recommended the gianting of Harry James' petition, which asked for the grading or a stieet near the Agrlcultmal College. The committee also iccommendcd that repairs lie made on south 1st West street. A petition of CO. Goodwin and tliiitcen others was lead, asking the council to foi m a paving district on the west side of south Main on blocks live and six in the spilng of 11)04. The following irsolutlon was passed unanlmousl): In view of the fact that Logan City lias been unablo to obtain anv satlsfactoiy answer to its repeated requests for the Logan Light and Power Company to sell Its Logan distribution system, until this late date, when a contiact has already been entered into to Join the Hell Telephone Company in the ownership of a pole line, and whcioas the late communication indicates that we could not reach a satisfactory term of sale; be Itiesolvcd, that Logan City pioceed to buy material and Install a new s)Stem for distribution. The bids from the Westlngtonhouse Company and General Electric Company, Com-pany, on the purchasing of transformers, transform-ers, were read. The electilc light committee recommended that the bid of the Westlnghouse Electric Corn-pan) Corn-pan) be accepted. Passed unanimously.
