An appropriation was crdered to reimburse re-imburse tho clinician of the society f200 If ho shall visit four adjoining states and $125 If he shall visit but two of them. It was also decided to pay tho secretary ?75 for mo year's serv.'co .Instead of $25 as heretofore I At tho morning session of yester-' day there wero four scientific papers read. Captain John S. Marshall of San Francisco treated upon "The Unclean Un-clean Mouth," discussion upon which) was subsequently opened by Enoch Van cott of Salt Lake. "Practical -Suggestions on Fees and Investments," was given by Dr. A. H. Gilbert of San Diego, and A. C. Wherry of Salt Lake led discussion of this subject. Calvin W. Richard of Bountiful read an interesting dissertation on "Crown ' and Bridge Work' 'discussion of which was begun by L. E. Arnold of Salt' Lake. "Somo Progress In Dentistry-From Dentistry-From tho Musty Past to tho Mighty i Present," was th'p subject of an enlightening en-lightening pap'er by G Emmet' Browning, Jr. of Salt Lake. The dis- cusBion and comment on this presentation presen-tation was led by F C. Osgood of' Ogden. Delegates Take Swim The afternoon was devoted to tho transaction of business, Including tho i annual election of officers, and when the convention had closed tho delo- gates went In a body to tho Deseret gymnasium bath department where nearly all of them took advantage of an Invitation to BWlm as guests of the rhhnogement. Last night tho finishing feature, of all tho proceedings camo in tho form of a banquet In tho grillroom of tho Hotel Utah. It was nltogetner informal infor-mal and was characterized by !i comforting com-forting freedom which let looso th& merry quips and light hearted laughter laugh-ter of tho participants.
