Tho city council last night instructed instruct-ed tho city nlttornoy to prepare an ordinance cnlllng for an election on the proposed tax. Tho citizens relief committee will provide the council on Thursday night with an estimate ot tho amount required. It Is expected to reach about $30,000. -, City officials assert that 'voluntary relief measures now being taken by the municipality are not an admission of the city's liability for damages. An additional f 2,600 for relief was appropriated ap-propriated by the council tonight and resolutions of condolence and sympathy sympa-thy for families of the victims adopted. adop-ted.
