Show MENDON DOES HONOR TO DEAD .Our cemetery and graves of our loved ones never looked more beautiful beauti-ful than they did on Decoration Day when "Wo got tho water system Installed In-stalled the city had four hydrants installed in-stalled In tho cemetery where we now have an abundance of water and instead of weeds and grass growing on and around tho graves, they are being planted with beautiful flowers and grass, and in a very snort time the cemetery will bo a perfect bed of flowers. At 4:30 there was a ball game between Logan Second ward and Mendon, score 7 to a in favor of Logan. There was a dance In Richards hall In the evening. . GUI Sweeten of Colllnston helped to furnish fur-nish the music. There was a crowded house, several being here from the surrounding towns. Mrs. Mamie Atkinson of Holbrook, Idaho attended Decoration Day exercises ex-ercises here. Miss Pearl Wllllo will go to the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake on Friday to take nursing. Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Hendry and children of Wellsvtlle spent Sunday here with friends. The many friends of Miss Ila Willie Wil-lie will be pained to hear that she had another severe attack of appendicitis Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. KeusslS and children chil-dren of Panqultch, Sanpete county, returned to their home Friday after visiting a month with the ladle's mother, Mrs. Mary Lamont. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sorensen and children of Garland are visiting this week with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Christian Sorensen. Miss Chloe Sweeten of Fielding attended at-tended the Decoration Day dance. MV. and Mrs. Warren Sweeten and Robert Sweeten of Holbroox, Idaho, were seen at tho cemetery decorating graves of their loved ones on Friday. Fri-day. J. F. Sorensen and Pelrce Hard-man Hard-man went to Bulst, Idaho Friday. |
