Members of the Presidency Presi-dency and High Council will be present. pres-ent. A good attendance is desired. Alexander Izatt of the Logan Fifth ward died on Tuesday. Tho funeral will probably bo held Saturday. Mr. Izatt was born -In Scotland, May 14, 1843 and came to this country in 1864, Ho is survived by a wife and several children. The annual stockholders meeting of the Cache Knitting Works was held on Monday at which th0 reports 'showed that last year's business was the greatest in the history of the company. The reports by tho Logan and Salt Lake managers made an excellent ex-cellent showing. The following are tho officers for tho coming year: Geo F Lloyd, president; Oscar llorkman vice president and treasurer; George F. Thatcher, E. T. Lloyd and W. II. The directors of the Cache Valley Irrigation company have been in tho city, holding forth at tho Eaglo Hotel, Ho-tel, for tho past two days receiving stock certificates held in tho West Cache Canal by property owners within tho district, lor wnicn uonus nro being issued. There is over $85,000 worth of stock held by the land owners within this district and a majority has been turned to the district for bonds. An ngrecmest has been made with the state land board whereby theso bonds will be taken up Immediately when a few legal, technicalities havo been straightened up, to their satisfaction, and to the satisfaction of James T. Hammond, legal advisor of the state board. As soon as tho stock has been properly' transferred and the bonds given In exchange, all future assessments will bo levied against the land Instead of against the stock, and the directors expect td havo tho district in good working order In ifrvery short time. |
